Emily Renk Hawthorne, DDS graduated in 2005 from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilizations. After graduation she spent a year teaching high school English in Cherbourg, France before returning for her dental studies at the University of Southern California. She graduated with her DDS in 2011 and completed a 1 year hospital dentistry residency at UCLA in 2012. She then went to work for Indian Health Services for the next 5 years; at Lake Country Tribal Health Consortium in Lakeport, CA from 2012 to 2014, and at Native American Health Center in San Francisco, CA from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Renk joined the CHCCC team in 2017, continuing her dedication to public health. She currently serves as a Clinic Instructor for the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, Division of Dental Public Health and Pediatric Dentistry as well as Adjunct Clinical Faculty for A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine for Western University of Health Sciences, College of Dental Medicine.
