Meet Ashley

Ashley Allen is a Health Education Associate at CHC. Her degree is in Health Science with a specialty in Health Education. She is passionate about nutrition and helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle. Ashley grew up locally in Arroyo Grande. She has lived abroad and traveled to over ten countries. Because of this, she is conversational in Spanish, Swedish, and Italian. Make an appointment to see her today!

Meet Hector

Hector is a Health Education Associate at CHC. His degree is in Public Health and Communications. He is continuing his education with a second degree in Dietetics. He believes that good nutrition is the key for the prevention of chronic diseases. He has been working in the medical field for the last six years helping the community to achieve and improve their lifestyle. Family, friends and music are an important part of his life.



Meet Claudia

Claudia Cardenas is a Health Educator who has voluntarily devoted her time to the community since her undergrad years. She received her BS in Health Science (Pre-Professional) from Arizona State University where she also completed a clinical internship and found her passion in working with the underserved. She is confident in helping others improve their health and plans to further her education by attending PA school in the near future. Time spent with family, friends, or her dog is extremely treasured.



Meet Greg

Greg has been serving the local community alongside CHC for over 10 years. He has been an active part of the community, serving on CHC’s medical mobile van and working with outreach health fairs to encourage personal partnership with health. Possessing a degree in Health Care Studies, he is continuing his education with a second degree in Health Education. He works as a Health Education Associate and places special emphasis on the personal aspect of care, citing the importance of cultivating relationships in order to maintain healthy habits.

Meet Marcelo Almaguer

University of Nuevo Leon Medical School in Mexico.
Became an EMT in 2000 : CPR Instructor (Basic Life Support) in 2007: knowledge on Nutrition, Cholesterol, Hypertension, Asthma and Diabetes.
First generation that moved to the US with vast understanding of what Immigrants go through. Embrace CHC mission and statement of helping everybody especially the most needed ones.  Strives to facilitate learning experiences designed to enable and reinforce the lifestyle behavior conducive to health in individuals, groups and our communities.

Meet Amanda

Hello! My name is Amanda Morana, and I am a Registered Dietitian here at CHC--working mostly in North County. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Cal Poly in Nutrition, and completed a 1-year supervised practice prior to taking my registration exam. Additionally, I am an ACSM Certified personal trainer. I am a California SF Bay Area native, but I love the Central Coast just as much. I have worked at summer camps for children with diabetes, and am looking forward to becoming a CDE; I am also working on my Spanish --¡Ayúdame practicar! CHC has given me the opportunity to work with the populations I feel most passionate about. I am excited to meet you!

Meet Aidee

Aidee Echeverria-Ratcliff, Health Educator for Community Health Centers of the Central Coast.  Aidee’s vision for wellness is limitless.  She is an exceptional leader, inspiring, encouraging, supporting and empowering individuals to live healthier lives.  Her determination, dedication and commitment to success allow her to positively impact each individual’s health and well-being. 

Aidee received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Cal Poly of San Luis Obispo.  Since receiving her degree, Aidee has had the pleasure of working in places where she has applied her knowledge to helping those in the community.  She has provided services to The Women’s Shelter Program and worked administration in a private Health Agency working with State Programs.  Since joining Community Health Centers 12 years ago, Aidee has worked in Women’s Health providing Pregnancy and Family Planning education, and at Santa Maria High School as a Crisis Counselor.  She is currently working with Women’s Health, Primary Care and Pediatrics where she provides patients with the knowledge and education they need to continue making positive and healthy lifestyle changes.
